If you are considering a vasectomy, you want a team you can trust: experienced, high-volume, and focused on making the process as comfortable as possible. Urology Associates of Green Bay is the highest-volume vasectomy practice in the region, performing approximately 300 vasectomies per year. Together the UAGB team has performed over 3000 vasectomies, giving you the confidence that comes with genuine expertise.
We are the only private urology practice in the Green Bay area offering vasectomies, meaning you will receive personalized, practice-focused care rather than a hospital system experience. We see patients at our offices in De Pere and Marinette, serving men from across northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Highest volume in the area.
We perform around 300 vasectomies per year. Volume matters. The more procedures a surgeon performs, the more refined the technique.
Surgeons with deep experience.
Together the UAGB team has performed over 3000 vasectomies, bringing a level of expertise you will not find at most practices.
No-scalpel technique.
We use the no-scalpel vasectomy method, a minimally invasive approach with less bleeding, lower risk of infection, faster healing, and no stitches required.
Comfort-focused experience.
We have designed the experience to be as relaxed as possible. You choose the music. Pro-nox, an inhaled nitrous oxide option, is available for patients who want extra comfort during the procedure (billed separately).
Private practice, not a hospital.
We are an independent, private practice, which means more personalized attention, shorter wait times, and a team fully dedicated to your care.
Flexible scheduling.
We offer appointments throughout the week including most Fridays, so you can plan your procedure and recover over the weekend.
Telehealth available for your initial consult.
Not ready to come in yet? Your first consultation can be done by telehealth: convenient, private, and no obligation.
Clear, transparent pricing.
We accept most major insurance plans. For patients paying out of pocket, our all-inclusive cash price is $1,149 covering both your initial consultation and the procedure itself.
Mail-in post-vasectomy testing.
At 12 weeks after your procedure, you will submit a semen sample using our mail-in kit. No in-person drop-off required. Mail it from home and we will communicate your results.
A vasectomy is a safe, highly effective, permanent form of contraception for men. During the procedure, the vas deferens, the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles, are cut, tied, or blocked, preventing sperm from being included in semen during ejaculation.
A vasectomy does not affect testosterone levels, sexual drive, or the sensation of orgasm. Ejaculation looks and feels the same. The only difference is that sperm are no longer present.
Vasectomy is more than 99% effective and is considered one of the most reliable forms of contraception available.
We use the no-scalpel vasectomy technique, which is now considered the gold standard. Instead of making an incision, a small puncture is made in the skin of the scrotum to access the vas deferens. The benefits compared to traditional vasectomy include:
Step 1: Initial Consultation
Step 2: The Procedure
Step 3: Recovery
Step 4: Confirming Success with a Mail-In Semen Analysis
