Interstim
Interstim is an FDA-approved non-medicine therapy used to manage urinary frequency, urgency, urge incontinence, or urinary retention for the long term.
How it Works
Similar to a heart pacemaker, the electrical Interstim device (or generator) controls soft nerve impulses that control bladder function. These impulses tell the bladder and brain to listen to each other, helping to control symptoms. The device is surgically implanted with sedation as an outpatient procedure and it can be used as a long-term therapy plan.
